Our Lady of Peace will once again offer our Tiger Cub basketball skills program this winter, starting on

January 13th and continuing on Sunday afternoons for a total of six weeks, ending on February 17 th. The

goal of the Tiger Cub program is to teach and demonstrate the rules of basketball, practice ball handling

skills, and work on fundamentals of the game that will allow each child to appreciate and deepen his or

her understanding of the game. We will have two sessions each Sunday during the program, with the

second grade boys and girls meeting from 1 pm - 2 pm and the third grade boys and girls meeting from 2

pm – 3 pm in the OLP gymnasium. The cost per child is $13, which includes a Tiger Cub basketball shirt

for each child and a pizza party for the kids after the final session. Registration is available on the OLP

Athletic Association website and will close on January 4th. When registering your child online, please

select the appropriate shirt size: small, medium, or large (Note: I have been told by parents in previous

years that the small size runs pretty small). Also, we would like to have at least 5-6 parents to stay each

week to help things run smoothly and to provide additional help when demonstrating skills. If you have
